Home extensions are happening everywhere, you might want to extend your house as your family extends or you might not want to move but instead have a house extension which is a great way of gaining extra space in your home and can also improve many aspects of your lifestyle. Above all else it is quite simply an excellent way of adding value to your property.
If you have not yet submitted your Planning Permission Approval and Building Regulations Application, we are able to take care of the necessary steps regarding the application. Once this stage is completed it’s time to become much more 'hands on' as we discuss the finer details of your build, including which materials will work best within your property and the exact look and feel you are aiming to achieve once your project is complete.
Our site supervisors and your JMK Interior Finishing project manager will be visiting the site 2-3 times a week during the build, ensuring that work is progressing in accordance with the work schedule. The building inspector will also be attending the site periodically throughout the build to ensure that all aspects of the work are being carried out in accordance with building regulations and for your peace of mind.
So how much do we charge for all of this and how long does it take? It’s quite simple:
Generally a House Extension may cost you from £20,000 to £75,000. There is no precise formula for obtaining an accurate cost for your extension however, we have worked out an indicative price guide for building extensions in Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. A typical ground floor extension may bear a cost of around £30,000 - £50,000.
Please note, that prices for home extensions will vary depending on several factors: Location of the house, ground conditions, quality of finishes: electrical, plumbing work, fitting a kitchen, bathroom and most importantly the type of extension required.
Adding two storeys in your extension doesn't mean that it will cost you twice as much. Just multiply the figure for a single storey by two and deduct 20% to get an indication cost.
The most common size of an extension is 15 to 25 square meters, which may bear a construction cost between £21,000 and £33,000 (excluding the interior fittings). The cost for interior fitting ranges from £10,000 to £20,000 for a small single storey extension.
Most of our house extensions take approximately 7-12 weeks to complete, depending on the size, scope and specification of the project.
